This Week at Weber Kracht and Chellew | 11.15.14

November 14, 2014 By WKCLawBlog

Weekly Wrap-up image

It’s that time again, time to refill your morning mug and take a moment to catch up with the news from Weber Kracht and Chellew.

In our latest edition of The Weber Kracht and Chellew Difference, Mike Frisbie guided us through the Who, What and Where of Estate Planning, showing us that while it’s a big project to tackle, it is manageable with good guidance.

We marked #TBT (Throwback Thursday) by revisiting the recent profile on Mike Frisbie.

If you’ve followed us on Facebook, you also saw that we shared a terrific scholarship opportunity for a Bucks County Community College Early Education major.

Two weeks from today, on November 29, the “Usual Suspects” will be at it again, this time presenting a Child ID Event for participants of the Habitat for Humanity 5K, which is sponsored by the Quakertown Rotary Club and Quakertown United Methodist Church.

Keep up with all Weber, Kracht and Chellew news by checking this blog, liking us on Facebook, connecting with us on LinkedIn or following us on Twitter.

The Weber Kracht and Chellew Difference | The Who, What and Where of Estate Planning

November 11, 2014 By WKCLawBlog

Babypiggybank

In today’s edition of The Weber Kracht and Chellew Difference, Mike Frisbie shows how estate planning is anything but one size fits all.

A couple came in with their baby. It is often the baby that makes the young parents reach the conclusion that they need to be a bit more responsible. They knew they needed some estate planning, but they were unsure what they may need.

The husband thought he had a will, or maybe it was a living will. The wife did not think she had anything, but she might. They had some assets.

I did what I call, “The Detective Mission – Who, What and Where.” I found out who everyone was – family – up, down and sideways. Then, we figured out what the assets were, and where they were. And then, they told me where they wanted things to go.

What was particularly interesting was to find that the location and arrangement of the assets were different than what the couple had wanted. And, in many cases, they do conflict with one another.

So we began, and are continuing, this process. It is important to remember that it is a process that takes some time to make sure everything is done correctly.

September 12, 2014 By WKCLawBlog

WKCLaw_PennridgeFISHBacktoSchoolCollection_2014

Thanks to your generosity, many of the children in need in our community started the school year with the supplies needed to excel in their academic endeavors. Here’s the very happy Weber Kracht & Chellew team with a sampling of the donations that were recently delivered to Pennridge FISH. Once again we’ve proved that by everyone doing a little bit, much can be accomplished. Thank you.

Back to School Supply Drive

Weber, Kracht & Chellew will be hosting a back to school drive to help get supplies to community students in need. We will be bringing all donations to local organization, Pennridge FISH. This non-profit organization, located in Perkasie, has become a staple to the community providing a food and clothing outlet, and medical services for those in need. Each year they have a Back to School Drive and provide back packs filled with supplies for over a hundred students in the community. They are such a vital part of our community, and we are so proud to support and help them in any way we can. Please see the attached flyer for a list of items that we will be collecting. If you have any questions, please call Gina Funari at 215-257-5114 or email GFunari@wkclaw.net.

Kid’s Voting 2013

February 21, 2014 By WKCLawBlog

On Election Day, we were very happy to host Kids Voting at our local poll. We were thrilled with the turnout and so enjoyed our time with the kids helping and empowering them as citizens of our community. It was a wonderful experience, and we are looking forward to hosting again in 2014!
