Here Comes Santa Claus!

December 24, 2014 By WKCLawBlog

We hinted on our Facebook page that we were up to something this week. That “something” was a trip to Belle Haven Nursing Home to provide a holiday lunch for the residents. We were even lucky enough to have Santa Claus join us for the fun!

Many thanks to attorney Mike Frisbie and his team for making the season brighter for these wonderful seniors. Enjoy more photos here.

Weekly Wrap-up image

This week we debuted our “Word of the Month.” It’s something we’ve done for quite a while here in the office and now we share it with you. The word for December is “Exuberant.”

Exuberant

What comes to mind when you think of this word?

Since it’s the season of giving, we revisited Dean Arthur‘s post on the value of giving back.

Over on our Facebook page, we shared news of a terrific scholarship opportunity from Bucks County Community College as well as the chance to purchase discounted ski tickets from Perkasie Borough’s Parks and Recreation Department. We’re fortunate to do business in such a great community.

We want to thank you for reading our blog and your interest in Weber Kracht and Chellew.

Wishing you and your loved ones very Happy Holidays.

Weekly Wrap-up image

The days are winding down until Christmas, and this week sees the start of Hanukkah celebrations. It’s a busy season, but please indulge us as we recap the week at the firm.

Michael Kracht helped us discern when we do – and don’t – need an attorney to assist with a real estate transaction.

We were thrilled by the great reception to our Child ID Event. Here is coverage from the Bucks County Herald and The Intelligencer.

With the year drawing to a close, many people are considering quitting their day jobs and starting their own businesses so we took a look back at Mike Frisbie‘s post on the importance of small business counseling.

Child ID Event at Habitat for Humanity 5K at Hit!

December 4, 2014 By WKCLawBlog

Thanksgiving weekend we teamed up with the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department to provide free Child ID cards to all participants of the Habitat for Humanity 5K Kids’ Fun Run, which was presented by the Quakertown Rotary Club and Quakertown United Methodist Church.

This particular event was arranged by a team led by attorney Abigail Fillman, who explained “We’re a community law firm, so we’re always looking for tangible ways to get involved with and add value to the communities we serve.”

Events like this are part of our corporate culture. Throughout the year, each attorney leads a team in creating and overseeing a community-minded event. From Kids’ Voting to the Perkasie FallFest 5K, you’ll often see us wearing our “Usual Suspects” tee shirts and working the event.

Weekly Wrap-up image

We hope this week’s wrap-up finds you having had a great Thanksgiving and enjoying a long weekend. We’re excited because our Free Child ID event is underway! If you happen to see this in time, head over to the Quakertown United Methodist Church to get in on the fun and benefit Habitat for Humanity. Many thanks to the Quakertown Rotary Club for including us and to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department for providing the Child ID’s as well as Abigail Fillman and her team for putting this event together.

During this short week, Michael Kracht shared the importance of knowing the difference between full and limited tort when choosing your auto insurance coverage.

We also took a moment to count our blessings. Visit our Facebook page to see what our staff is thankful for this Thanksgiving and every day.

We’ve kept you long enough; time to resume holiday activities and fun! Thank you for reading our blog.
