FBI Warns of QR Code Scams

January 20, 2022 By WKC Law

QR codes have had a comeback thanks to the desire for contactless payment and information sharing options brought on by the pandemic.  This popularity has also led to an increase in cybercriminals taking advantage of the opportunity to steal data.

Whenever you scan a QR code, double-check the URL and the page. If you have any doubts, do not share any personal information.

More details about the current QR code scams and how you can protect yourself are found in this article from ZDnet.com.
