We are pleased to announce that our firm administrator, Karen Chellew, is among the speakers at the Professional Women’s Synergy Power Summit taking place Thursday, October 15 at Normandy Farm in Blue Bell, PA.

Karen will be joined by Leslie Richards, PA Secretary of Transportation; Honorable Carolyn Comitta, Mayor of the Borough of West Chester, PA; Stephanie Shanblatt, president of Bucks County Community College; and Dr. Carol Goodheart, psychologist, speaker and author.

We aren’t allowing a weekend of bad weather deter us from helping further the missions of Got Strings? Youth Orchestra programs and Bucks County Community College. The “Bebop Bolt at Bucks” Color Dash has been rescheduled to this Sunday, October 11.

We are proud to join Bucks County Community College and Sisters U as sponsors of this event, which kicks off at 7AM at Bucks County Community College’s Upper Bucks Campus at 1 Hillendale Road, Perkasie. Help us achieve our goal of raising $10,000 by registering here. Individual registrants may use the discount code STAYDRY to save $5.

Meet the Attorneys: Rick Howard

Richard Howard, Jr. is one of the most respected, dedicated and hard-working litigation attorneys in Bucks County. As a trusted advocate and counsel for his clients, Rick draws upon his strong judgment, undaunted work ethic, and extensive 24-year experience handling wide varieties of challenging and simple civil litigation matters to effectively handle each client’s most difficult legal matters in today’s world. Rick prides himself on getting to the “real issue,” in truly relating to each situation, and doing what is “right” for his clients and according to the Golden Rule.  Clients truly appreciate his unique care, attention, active listening and advice, employed to contend most effectively with issues and make a difference. He has a proven track record of employing best strategy and problem-solving techniques and resolving issues expeditiously and cost-effectively. Skilled and experienced in trial work, Rick has extensive court experience before judges, arbitrators and juries, before whom he has brought several matters to successful verdict.

Clients come to Rick from all across southeastern Pennsylvania, especially Bucks and Montgomery Counties and neighboring areas.  These include insurers, business owners, large suppliers of products, contractors, subcontractors, individuals, friends and family members.  His practice covers a multitude of legal matters, including litigation, business disputes, homeowner disputes, motor vehicle and personal injury accidents as well as family law matters.

As Chief Financial Officer of Weber Kracht and Chellew, Rick is charged with overseeing management of the firm’s finances and ongoing integrity of its financial stability.  For the last 15 years, as part of his passion to stay focused and updated on new legal developments, he has served as adjunct professor at Bucks County Community College, where he teaches law in the business studies department. He enjoys the give and take interaction of public speaking, believing that communication and learning is a two-way street.  Widely viewed as enthusiastic and level-headed, he is also appointed arbitrator in several insurance and civil litigation matters, serving as court-appointed arbitrator in Bucks County.  He has also presented Continued Legal Education seminars, and serves as radio guest and a public speaker on legal issues.

Rick is a dedicated board member for his neighborhood community association, secretary for 69th Pa. Irish Volunteers, which teaches Civil War and other first person living history to schools and the public.  His involvement extends to singing in the 69th Pa. Civil War Irish band, which raises funds to locate and place gravestones for fallen soldiers. This is extremely meaningful work to Rick, whose family has a strong tradition of military and other service to our country.

Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and before the Federal Courts, Rick is active member in the Pennsylvania and Bucks County Bar Associations. He received his law degree from the University of Dayton in 1990, with academic honors. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton in 1987.
