The Weber Kracht and Chellew Word of the Month: Embrace

March 21, 2016 By WKCLawBlog

glassmanquoteOur Word of the Month for March is: Embrace.

Embrace. To “hold (someone) closely in one’s arms, especially as a sign of affection.”

Taking the word’s meaning a bit farther, to embrace is also to “accept or support (a belief, theory, or change) willingly and enthusiastically.”

In today’s world, when we’re faced with the issues and circumstances of life, “embrace” can be the last thing we want to do. Sometimes, however, a small shift in perspective or reaching out to ask for help can be all we need to embrace the challenges we meet.

What does “embrace” mean for you this month?

WE Chat Wednesdays Visits Weber Kracht and Chellew February 10, 2016

January 25, 2016 By WKCLawBlog

WE (Women Evolving) Chat Wednesdays is a monthly discussion for women about issues in divorce and finances. Presented by Marianna Goldenberg of CURO Wealth Management and Catherine Shanahan of CSM Divorce Solutions – both Certified Divorce Financial Analysts – the group meets the second Wednesday of every month.

On February 10, 2016 WE Chat Wednesday comes to Weber Kracht and Chellew. Marianna and Catherine will be joined by Abigail F. Tuttle, our attorney specializing in family law negotiations and litigation, including divorce, custody, support, alimony and equitable distribution.

Ladies, join us in conversation about concerns that arise before, during and after divorce. Divorce is never easy. It’s a time of extreme emotional stress and uncertainty when many important decisions must be made. Our goal is to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Due to limited seating, registration is required and a $10 cash fee will be collected at the door.

Striving to Serve

January 18, 2016 By WKCLawBlog

MLK Day On

Today as a nation we pause to remember Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his life of service.

Service – to each other, our clients and our community – is at the forefront of our mission here at Weber Kracht & Chellew. Over the holidays we collected items for Manna on Main Street, a food pantry and soup kitchen in Lansdale, PA that also provides emergency financial aid, counseling and referrals, and educational opportunities to those in need.

We created teams among our staff to collect as many items as possible on Manna’s wish list: diapers, feminine care products, toiletries & hygiene products, canned food, boxed food (cereal/pasta), and cleaning products. The generosity and energy of our staff resulted in a donation of 71 lbs of items and this sweet thank you note.

We don’t share this to brag but to inspire each other to service. So, inspire us! Tell us what you’re doing to better the lives of those around you in the comments. We can’t wait to hear about the impact you’re having on your communities.

2015 Year in Review at Weber Kracht and Chellew

December 31, 2015 By WKCLawBlog

2015 Year End Blog Montage

As we pause before celebrating the arrival of 2016, we want to thank our friends, clients, and colleagues for a meaningful and successful 2015. We don’t exist without you and we are so very glad you choose us to represent, guide and advise you during the most important times of your lives.

It is also because of you that we are able to be supportive of the community we serve. This year alone we collaborated with Bucks County Community College for the Bebop Bolt at Bucks Color Dash, raising $4,300 in scholarship funds for BCCC students and the young musicians of Got Strings? Youth Orchestra.

We had the opportunity to mingle with the “Business After Hours” mixer we co-hosted at the firm with Sisters U and the Pennridge Chamber of Commerce. It’s always a pleasure to meet new people and catch up with old friends.

Santa joined the firm – for a day – and accompanied attorney Mike Frisbie’s team to Rockhill Mennonite Community’s Personal Care Center. It’s one of the highlights of the year to spend time handing out presents and singing carols with the residents.

And we had the privilege of collaborating with ten fellow local businesses to collect 897lbs of winter clothing for Pennridge FISH. It doesn’t get much better than that.

We close this year with “Promise” as our word of the month. It is our desire that your year ends on a note of promise for a wonderful, healthy and prosperous 2016.
